Some individuals hold on to deteriorating relationships even when they are barely hanging on by a thread - and one man took this concept quite literally.
In Malaysia, a man was witnessed clinging to the side of his ex-wife's car as she drove away, eventually falling and tumbling along the asphalt. This incident was captured in a viral video that was shared across various social media platforms on Saturday (Feb 28).
The video shows the man gripping onto the side of a car moving along a road in Bandar Seri Alam in Johor Bahru, Malaysia.
As the car continues its journey, the man struggles to hoist himself up while making sure to keep his feet off the road beneath him.
Regrettably, his feet briefly touch the asphalt - the sudden friction causes him to lose his grip on the vehicle, sending him plummeting towards the ground.
During the fall, his right foot seems to go under the car's tire, his shoe flies off, and his back scrapes against the rough surface of the road.
After sliding a few meters forward due to the momentum, the man glances back at the departing vehicle before standing up as the video concludes.
Reportedly, the 30-year-old man had a disagreement with his ex-wife, leading to this incident, as per Sinar Harian.
"The altercation is said to have started at a supermarket in Bandar Seri Alam before the man climbed onto the hood and clung to the front of the car being driven by the woman," mentioned Bandar Seri Alam district police chief Sohaimi Ishak.
Following the man's fall, the woman reportedly drove the car for approximately two kilometers before a different group of men, believed to be friends of the 30-year-old man, intercepted the vehicle. They smashed the car's window, attempting to extort the woman and seize her belongings, according to Harian Metro.
The man tested positive for ketamine and was subsequently apprehended on Sunday (March 1), as reported by Bernama.
