As economic pressures continue to impact regional markets, Emirates NBD has introduced a wide-ranging support package aimed at easing the financial burden on businesses across the UAE. The initiative focuses primarily on small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), offering a combination of fee waivers and discounted services to help companies maintain stability and confidence during uncertain times.

The bank confirmed that its services remain fully operational, with a strong emphasis on seamless and secure banking for all customers. This reassurance comes as many businesses look for reliability and flexibility in managing their financial operations.

The newly announced measures include the removal of several common banking fees that can accumulate over time. Businesses will benefit from waived charges on loan deferments, international courier services for business card deliveries, and fees typically applied to returned cheques caused by temporary cash flow challenges. Additionally, charges for ATM withdrawals across the UAE and GCC, as well as fees for replacing business debit cards, have been eliminated under this initiative.

Beyond fee waivers, Emirates NBD is also introducing significant discounts on key financial services used by companies engaged in trade and daily operations. These include reduced costs for letters of credit and letters of guarantee, along with lower pricing for cash management services. The bank has also adjusted its introductory pricing offers to provide more accessible options for business clients.

Industry observers note that similar support measures have been introduced by other financial institutions in recent weeks, reflecting a broader effort to assist businesses in maintaining liquidity and operational continuity. These developments align with wider economic initiatives aimed at strengthening resilience and supporting growth within the UAE’s business environment.

At the policy level, the move follows the introduction of a large-scale economic support program designed to enhance flexibility, boost preparedness, and ensure that businesses can respond effectively to evolving conditions. Financial authorities have also introduced measures to reinforce the stability of the banking sector, ensuring that institutions remain well-positioned to support customers.

According to senior leadership at Emirates NBD, the goal of this package is to provide practical relief at a time when businesses need it most. By reducing operational costs and offering greater financial flexibility, the bank aims to help SMEs navigate challenges while continuing to grow and contribute to the economy.

With a combination of waived fees, targeted discounts, and ongoing service reliability, the initiative is expected to encourage businesses to optimize their financial planning and maintain confidence in the months ahead.
