Indian airlines are ramping up repatriation flights from the UAE in response to the increased demand.

Due to the ongoing military conflict in the Middle East, the South Asian carriers are also adding more flights to Europe and the Americas to accommodate the high demand.

IndiGo has announced the commencement of flights to Athens, Muscat, Jeddah, and Madinah, along with select repatriation flights to the UAE. The airline is gradually restoring connectivity on affected routes.

“Pending approvals from UAE authorities, we aim to increase the frequency of repatriation flights to the UAE starting tomorrow to better assist customers waiting to travel,” the airline stated.

Amid the uncertainty faced by many customers trying to return home or reach their destinations, the budget carrier assured its continuous support with a focus on safety and care.

Air India Express, another low-cost carrier, is operating special flights from Ras Al Khaimah to three Indian cities until March 7.

Passengers are advised to monitor their flight status and update their contact details in their booking records.

Following the opening of safe air corridors with GCC countries, the UAE is gradually restoring air traffic and is set to operate more than 80 additional flights in the next phase.

Increasing Direct Flights to Europe and the US

Responding to the heightened demand due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, Indian carriers are adding more flights to Europe and the Americas.

With UAE and Gulf carriers suspending operations for safety reasons, Indian nationals and tourists are seeking alternative routes to European and American cities.

Air India is increasing capacity to Toronto, Frankfurt, and Paris in response to the situation in West Asia. Additional flights will offer more options for travellers connecting through Delhi to various destinations.
