The UAE is experiencing a brief spell of rainy weather starting Tuesday, March 31, and expected to continue until Wednesday, April 1, 2026. In light of these conditions, Abu Dhabi Police have taken to X to advise drivers against parking under bridges and in tunnels during the rainfall.
The authorities noted that parking in these confined areas can lead to traffic congestion and increase the likelihood of accidents, which are already more common during unstable weather conditions.
Due to the limited space available under bridges and in tunnels, the risk of accidents is significantly heightened during rainy weather, as visibility decreases and the chances of skidding increase.

Police emphasized that vehicles should be parked in safe locations to protect the safety of other drivers. They also highlighted the importance of maintaining a safe distance, reducing speed, and avoiding distractions while driving.
Another crucial tip during heavy rain is to steer clear of areas prone to water accumulation or low-lying zones that may experience sudden water flow, including valleys and mountainous regions.
